All the fire signs
(Aries, Leo and Sagittarius) burn bright, giving off
a light that's highly visible. That's part of your true
purpose in life: to be a beacon for all to see. Host
Sagittarians are extroverted, easy to make friends with,
enthusiastic and energetic. You have few secrets of
any kind, secret strengths least of all. You are not
noted for modesty about your strong points or accomplishments.
Besides, you're not a personal sort of person - you
don't take life personally enough to be secretive about
it. The whole idea of being born a Sag in the first
place is to think big, live big and get into the big-time.
Your Jupiter ruler doesn't allow you to fence anything
in, so you certainly can't be expected to keep a secret
locked away inside you. So your not-at-all-secret strengths are rooted in the
big generous gifts of Jupiter. You're lucky, for one
thing. You'll have big ups and downs in life - that's
part of the fun - but basically, you're a lucky one.
That means everything from winning the lottery to being
the last one allowed in for a limited-seating event.
You're smart, too, even if you do say so yourself.
As resident and caretaker of the house of higher education
and philosophical thinking (ninth in the zodiac), the
thirst for knowledge and experience stays with you all
your life. You may travel the world during your lifetime
or you may trek no farther than the neighborhood library
from your own home, but either way your searching soul
will be roaming new territory. All who know you benefit
from the broadness of your vision. The list of great
writers and philosophers born under Sagittarius is too
long to note. The combined explorer and thinker in the
soul of Sag is exemplified by Father Junipero Serra,
missionary to the New World; Mark Twain, whose adventure
stories were also social commentary; and Margaret Mead,
controversial social anthropologist. Humor is another of your great strengths. You are a
born burster of the balloons of pomposity. Humor is
your way of leveling the playing field, and if you have
enemies, it is usually a result of your ability to resist
taking a sarcastic poke at those who take themselves
too seriously. Many comedians and satirists have strong
Sagittarian influences in their charts. If your adversary is a Sagittarian you've a fair-minded
opponent who is very intelligent, cordial and as interested
in the outcome of the competition as they are in winning.
Sags won't take it personally if you outdo them in business
or even in a love matter. They're good sports. "May
the best man win" was probably first spoken by a Sag. Sag is not sneaky, but they are very, very bright,
so expect to meet a challenging strategist and a player
devoted to excellence for its own sake. Also keep in
mind that fortune smiles upon Sag. If competing in business,
they have the advantage of natural timing that causes
the unforeseeable breaks to fall their way. More than
one opponent of Sag has lost by accident of fate. They
adore cakes and competitions, so you will get a run
for your money from one who has boundless energy and
zest. Sags such as Larry Bird simply love to play. Though know for sportsmanship, don't expect Sag to
observe convention where humor is concerned. It's the
one weapon that they wield without mercy. If you and
Sag are in love with the same person, Sag will do what
they can to make you look silly in the eyes of your
mutual friend. And they are very skillful in the use
of this psychological weapon. Where others would get
angry Sag gets funny, and the results are frequently
more devastating to the competition than a battle of
fists would have been.
