Here’s a mere mention of a fantastic book: The German version of Valery Bronznik’s THE CHIGORIN DEFENCE was previously reviewed at great length (CLICK HERE TO SEE THAT REVIEW). I felt that it was not only a great book, but also gave the Chigorin a new status of full-fledged respectability. It has now been translated and in this new English edition Bronznik has put a tremendous amount of effort into updating the material. This is no small task in view of the defence’s current popularity. I strongly recommend this book and even urge you to take up the opening!
