One
of the worlds
most respected chess journalists, John Henderson
discovered he had a knack for writing press
releases while working for the Labor Party
in Britain. Establishing himself as their pen, he
also organized photo opportunities for future
MPs and government ministers. Several years
in the political arena, though, proved too
draining (especially after Labors defeat
in the 1992 general election) and he stepped
away from that world and into the even stranger
universe of international chess.
Now this world traveler
is constantly on the road, giving Scotlands
National Newspaper (online at: http://www.thescotsman.co.uk/)
up to the minute, on the scene reports of all
important chess events. We are delighted that
John (The Scotsman) has agreed
to share his insights on the ever-changing
world chess scene with our site.
