Benoni:

BEATING THE KING'S INDIAN & BENONI by Vaisser

An amazing exploration of the chances White gets with the Four Pawns Attack vs. the KID. Filled with original analysis, and a must own if you play either side of the KID. (1800 to grandmaster)

GAMBIT GUIDE to the MODERN BENONI by John Watson

There is more original analysis in this incredible book than I’ve ever seen before. Yet another must own for 1.d4 and Benoni players. (1800 to grandmaster)

Grunfeld:

GRUNFELD DEFENCE by Nigel Davies

A well presented, well-written, extremely useful book on this popular opening. (1800 on up)

UNDERSTANDING THE GRUNFELD by Rowson

A great book on an opening that was a favorite of both Kasparov and Fischer. Detailed, instructive, and fun. (1600 on up)

King’s Indian:

EASY GUIDE TO THE Nge2 KID by Forintos & Haag

White players are always looking for new ways to combat the KID. This is the book on the highly interesting and tricky Nge2 system: 1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 g6 3.Nc3 Bg7 4.e4 d6 5.Nge2. (1600 on up)

KING'S INDIAN and GRUNFELD: FIANCHETTO LINES by Lasha Janjgava

Many players like to meet both the KID and Grunfeld with g3. A serious look at all lines, and very useful for those who play either side of these openings. (1800 on up)

OFFBEAT KING'S INDIAN by Panczyk & Ilczuk

Most people answer the KID (1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 g6 3.Nc3 Bg7 4.e4 d6) with 5.Be2 0-0 6.Nf3, g3 lines, or 5.f3. But there are many other highly interesting and dangerous systems that White can employ. This book gives us a high level look at all of them. (1800 on up)

STARTING OUT: THE KING'S INDIAN by Joe Gallagher

Teaches you how to play the KID by focusing on the tactical and strategic ideas, and (of course) on all the variations you’ll need. A very useful book! (1200 to 1800)
