This original effort is the only book on chess psychology you need. (1200 on up)

CHINESE SCHOOL OF CHESS by Liu Wenzhe

A very interesting look at the program that turned China into a chess superpower. (1200 on up)

 

HUMAN COMEDY OF CHESS by Hans Ree

Fascinating and often funny stories about various chess icons. I never met any chess player who didn’t enjoy this book. (For all who love chess)
