ANTI-SICILIANS: A GUIDE FOR BLACK by Dorian Rogozenko

A nice guide that allows Sicilian players to be ready for all the “junk” lines that White can throw at them. (1800 on up)

THE COMPLETE SVESHNIKOV SICILIAN by Yuri Yakovich

Fans of the Svesh have taken over the Sicilian! This is the definitive work on this extremely important opening. (1800 to grandmaster)

THE ENGLISH ATTACK by Tapani Sammalvuo

This system has turned into a panacea for White against the Najdorf and other Sicilian systems. This book helps new players join in the fun for White, and Sicilian players get a grip on how to respond for Black. An impressive job by the author. (1800 to grandmaster)

EASY GUIDE to the Bb5 SICILIAN by Steffen Pedersen

The Bb5 system against the Sicilian has become red hot lately, and though this book isn’t quite up to date, it’s still the best thing out there. (1400 on up)

PLAY THE 2.c3 SICILIAN by Rozentalis & Harley

I think all Sicilian players hate facing 2.c3, and it’s a great choice for those White players wishing to meet the Sicilian with something that takes their opponents out of their prepared Sicilian lines. This is the best book on this system. (1600 to grandmaster)

PLAY THE NAJDORF: SCHEVENINGEN STYLE by John Emms

An excellent repertoire book for Black, which advocates that – when faced with the choice of …e6 or …e5 – he often steer the game back into Scheveningen systems with …e6.

MASTERING THE NAJDORF by Arizmendi and Moreno

An up to date, no-nonsense look at all lines of the Najdorf. If I played either side, I would feel that I was forced to pick this book up. (1800 on up)

THE SICILIAN SOZIN by Mikhail Golubev

The author, a huge fan of the Sozin (Bc4), carefully explores all possible lines in an effort to show just how dangerous this line is for Black. (1800 on up)
