Let me introduce the reader to the modern hermit and spiritual philosopher, Boris “Schopenhauer” Glikman. Boris was trained in mathematics and spends the majority of his time within his own mind. Though it can be a sad environ, it is also a very interesting place as these vignettes indicate. Boris is an archetype of the eccentric uncle who exists in many families. He goes his own way in life and his unique and fresh perspective is illumining. He is a regular visitor to the Shiva Ashram here in Melbourne, and I sometimes share his quirky and intelligent thoughts with the satsang.
